Internet Tools
----------------
The author takes _NO_ resposibility WHATSOEVER for any
use of these prorgrams, anywhere, ever.
Do NOT use these programs for any hacking/phreaking. They
are intended to test the robustness of your computer/your LAN
only. Hacking is lame. Phreaking is worse.
Resolver Notes
---------------
Acorn's resolver module can have difficulty resolving IP's to IP's
which do have proper DNS entries (go figure!). I have since
changed to Stuart Brodie's DNSResolver and (except for increased
disk activity) have had no problems whatsoever with it.
!g0PScan, !g0DScan
-------------------
A port-scanner, a domain-scanner.
!PortMess
----------
This app scans ports on a host, and then proceeds to send rubbish
data to any it finds. (Great for testing the robustness of an app
against a lame attack).
!KillPort
----------
Kill port is a /very/ simple DoS attack on a particular port of
a host. It will open about 300 connections to it, and attempt to
keep them open until you tell it to disconnect. (This will more
than likely cause your computer to crash anyway) DoS attacks are
ILLEGAL in the UK. do NOT EVER try them on a host that has not
given you permission to do so.
!SocksHunt
-----------
This little application goes 'sniffing' around the internet for
open SOCKS ports (1080). V1.1 will test them to see if they've
been left open with no password set. (The idea is, you can then
tell the person concerned this!)
!g0Watch
---------
This proggy is a simple portscan detector. When it senses a
portscan, it closes all it's listening ports for a period of
1 minute (to prevent flooding) in addition to alerting the user.
Future
-------
Multithreaded Reverse lookups.
Machine type determination.
Programs Status
----------------
Freeware.
Thanks to:
-----------
Justin Fletcher, for the EZSockets module that has made my life
easy (at last! easy internet sockets handling!)
Dominic Symes/Zap crew, for the ZapRedraw Module. Excellent!
Bits of R_Example(!Zap stuff) are used in the progs to make life
a bit easier as far as using Zapredraw is concerned.
